The Kletskoppen “Chatterboxes” Child Language Festival is a day of science activities for the whole family, with fun experiments, demonstrations, and interactive lectures about how children learn to communicate. Child language researchers from Radboud University and the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics lead hands-on activities to introduce children and their families to current research and practice on all things language–from first words to reading, multilingualism, gesture, sign languages, and much more! The first annual Kletskoppen Festival took place on October 28, 2017 at the Mariënburg Library and Arthouse LUX in Nijmegen, and was organized by a team of researchers from Radboud University and the MPI, including current and former MCC members Alex Carstensen, Marisa Casillas, and Patricia Manko.
